We've got a blackbird in the garden who's a little bit :wacky:
He sits underneath the bird table and then bounces up to grab a beakful of fat-ball because he's too big to hang on the side of the feeder :LOL:

I've been attempting to get some shots, but i have to take them through a window :(
Any suggestions welcome - to be honest i'm still using 'auto' on my Nikon because i've not got my head round all the manual settings yet.

This is what i've managed thus far;

They're a bit over-exposed aren't they?

Exposure looks fine to me too, I have seen them doing that at Belvide, they even manage to hold on for a short time.

It appears that Auto is serving you well, if you want to go manual set Auto ISO, f7.1 aperture and a shutter speed of 1/500 or 1/1000 if there is enough light, getting all of the bird in shot would help as well (y)

I have just been outside and crumbled the fat balls on the lawn because the female Blackbird was trying to get the food and finding it impossible. The quality of the photos look ok to me.
