Yikes

Now let me think :film:

There have been claims that these adverts are money laundering scams, used by drug gangs.

Of course, it could always be genuine... :tumbleweed:

I suppose they could show it advertised at such a price as evidence of where £8k cash came from when it gets paid into the bank. But the photos?
I wonder if my rather battered but still fully functional F5 is worth 10% of that then?:exit:

Looks pretty close to BNIB so might be worth that to a Nikon collector.

If I've read the serial number correctly, and assuming that higher number equates to newer camera, the Inverness one is newer. I don't feel tempted at all.

They stopped making these in 2001. It has been sat somewhere for at least 20 years and never been used. I buy a lot of old cameras, some of which have been sitting around for even longer - but with various faults such as mildew , corrosion, hardened grease. I wouldn't want to pay anything like that much for a camera out of warranty with potential faults.

I doubt that once bought it will ever be used. Possibly Grays offer some limited guarantee if I'm wrong?
