Hi Guys, Another newbie question.

I seem to be having some issues with a bit of dust on the lens.. Its down right irritating!
The worst is when the dust is a fine thread that seems to have got it self on the digital display above the mirror.

So i am wanting advice on cleaning, and maintaining the cam.. lens, mirror etc.
I know i need to get a blower, brush etc..
But i have some queries:
1. a blower with a metal tip, is it better than a blower with a plastic tip
2. A blower with a metal tip, could it potentially damage the lens or filters.
3. A brush, couldnt that damage the senstive surfaces?

i use rocket blower to blow dust off the mirror and sensor. I personally won't use the blower with metal tip .........
 
Personally I wouldn't be putting anything metal near the sensor or lens surface, an Arctic Butterfly is a brush designed to sweep across the sensor surface and remove dust - a blower with brush is useful for removing dust from a lens surface.
 
Giottos is a taiwan company, the giottos rocket blower is decent and will get the job done.
