Blue Crane DVD's

These are good to get you up to speed with some of the functions; especially fine is you're new to dSLR, or a specific body / brand.

Alex,

I can send you a 30D training video if you'd like to borrow it? My father-in-law has it currently and is staying with us so I can't get it to you until he gets home again....about a week.

PM me the details again Alex....it will be about a week though.

I've seen both volumes of "Through The Eyes of a Pro". They were OK.

I've also seen the DVD about the Canon 580EX, which left me very disappointed. They were heavy on general lighting theory, especially in controlled studio environments, and light on the finer points of real world out and about shooting, with a 580EX on camera, such as at an event like a wedding or a party, where your subject, scene and ambient lighting is changing all the time and beyond your control. The Canon flash system is a bit quirky and it can take times to learn those quirks. The DVD did not cover the quirks at all.

I think I mght also have seen one of their Canon DVDs, although I can't be certain, but similar information can be found for free on YouTube or the manufacturer website. e.g. for the Canon 40D these are quite useful....

Maybe there is something similar for the 30D and others.
