Hello,
This my the first attempt at shooting a bee with my Nikon 105mm f/2.8 micro lens. Stunning lens by the way !!
I went to the parc at shot at the rhododendron flowers, waiting for a bee to arrive. I got one in the right place, but it is still blurry. These little this zip around when you are looking through a lens !!
How can I make this better ??
Thanks for your help and comments,
Nicolas.
PS : Picture taken at 1/250s at f/8 on ISO 400

Not much advise to give only use a much higher shutter speed I shot this not so long ago at 1/2000th at f2.8 using my 70mm - 200mm

It takes patience I shot all in all about 1000 images to get what I wanted. I didalso shoot some with flash to completely freeze everything but I feel slight 'wing blur' is a more desirable image.

My patience was rewarded however as the The Guardian used the image.

Great shot Matt ! Yes, the shutter speed is the obvious answer but it also means a lower f stop, which means a smaller depth of field... and it is already small with a macro lens at that distance at f/8 !
Maybe with an off camera flash ?
