Boozy Shadows

Saw this little project in one of my mags and thought i would give it ago last weekend. Tried it with whisky bot there wasn't enough left in the bottle to create a good shadow

Hi Simon, I wonder how this would look if it had a little more space below the bottle, so it's not as close to the edge of the frame? I like it though. Was this done with off camera flash?

Yup in the article the guy used a desk lamp but didn't have one available so used my flash gun using remote flash but was very fiddly getting the power to create the right colour shadow then having to adjust the flash to the side to get the right angle across the shot and then the height of the flash to create the right length shadow. Took a good couple of hours to get right but got there in the end

I love the idea of it but I cannot help but think that it would have been improved by having the complete shadows

I tired that but it just didn't quite look right, didn't seem balanced/equal of you know what I mean
