That's Borage, not porage!

Very similar to linseed, but this is more purple.......this is used to make Star Flower Oil. (that field would keep us in a good mood for a few weeks, girls! )

Most of the blue fields are linseed

But these purple ones are a different crop.

ahhh...I knew about the linseed fields, the field I saw look different somehow...borage is very pretty close up, I love its furriness

Janice. Well done! My father in law has grown this crop this year and is just starting to flower (we are way up north). I was waiting to get a shot of it, once in full bloom.

Good for hacker and Co as hives are placed nearby to make sure the plant gets cross-pollenated. Makes fine honey I am told.
