Came across this ugly fellow the other day.No idea what kind of spider it is.

Looks like a wolf spider to me.. Could be wrong though LOL.. Nice capture too.

Thanks Carl for the info.It was a dense white web which was quite close to the ground.When I first saw the spider it also saw me and dissapeared before I could take a shot.I waited a while and it returned and enabled me to take three shots.The one I have posted was the only decent one.

Looking at the carapace I would say it is a young Tegenaria sp. (House Spider).
