Here's a crop of the above. Primarily because I noticed the tiny little larvae thing just below the ladybird. The lady bird was about 5mm in length for size perspective.
Ollie, Lens is a Sigma 105 EX DG and for these shots, I added a 36mm kenko Ext. Tube. Using the tube permits me to shoot a few inches further away and gives me a greater range of magnification. Of course, I lose the option to focus at infinity but never used it doing macro anyway .
I'd need to switch to a smaller tube or none at all if the subject was too big that when I reduced down the mag, I still couldn't get it in the frame (but I've not seen any bugs THAT big yet )
