Not upto the standard that les posted the other day, but I too went to the village cricket.

70-200 + 1.4 30D a heavy crop, and too slow a shutter speed :bang:

Reminds me of my cricket exploits. Crickets a lot slower than horses.

I want to try cricket photography this summer - 100-300 f4 + TC.

Don't forget the ND4 :)

whiteflyer, that first shot is so nearly there, I don't think it's a shutter speed problem, rather a timing one. A bit of blur on your ball is good surely?

Both look great to me - I particularly like no 2 -great composition and both shots have superb sharpness where it counts!

I like these well captured shots, I particularly like the second shot.(y)

I was thinking the same, although I don't have the reach on my longest lens so might be limited to some wider angle shots:D My brother in law lives just outside Aldborough and they play cricket on the village green regularly so might try it soon.

I'll have to go try again. Still not got a shot with bales flying :(

Thanks for the nice and constructive comments.

I'll certainly go to more village cricket this year,
