A mate had a boxing match and his coach asked me to take a few snaps, I got carried away and took quite a few but here's some i liked. I'm quite happy with the pics, they're never going to be spot on when its your first attempt though, so don't be too harsh with the comments

To me they look a bit over-exposed and the last one could do with a crop / be deleted lol

Might post some more up later

I think they are all great pictures and not over-exposed. Nice and sharp and the colours are really punchy ( excuse the pun! ) Well done on a great set

Some pretty good stuff there!

Particularly like #4 from the first set.

And the action shots in the second set.

But what's with the guys arm in #4 of second set - looks like something from the fantastic four!!

Thanks for sharing.

They are really good.

In amateur boxing watch for the elbow (jabbing hand). When a boxer is just about to throw there lead hand elbow tends to move outwards 2-3 inchs so they can generate power for the jab. Its a tell that is very hard to overcome because of the need to twist the wrist to allow proper alignment. It they dont get that alignment the shot can hurt your wrist do to the handwraps only being 2.5m and not offering enough protection.

As soon as you see the elbow move snap the pic and the speed of the punch will mean you get a full contact shot.
