Any idea how i wouldnt be reflected in there? would i have to take the picture from a different angle?

Try moving round or down may be better and look through the viewfinder until you can't see yourself. Maybe a less obvious coloured jumper or a ninja suit :shrug:

Great effort but I think the reason I'm not loving them is because they don't look clean. I know my ones aren't macro, but I've included an example of how I've photographed jewellery. Simply on a windowsill. HTH
