Breaking in the D700....

The Mrs is shopping today in London, so I thought I'd break in the D700 by also taking a trip up town. Plan on togging all the usual spots etc. Just sitting on the train wondering how many times I'm going to to get stopped, questioned and/or arrested! LOL

In all seriousness, does anyone have any quick tips for cracking view points in London? Got a travelcard and I ain't afraid to use it....

Southbank. Get down to Southbank near the London eye, from there you can walk to some great places. Westiminster is just across the river, you have the bridges and thames right by you and loads of bistros and the like if you're looking for some candid street photography.

To be honest, you can't go far wrong in London no matter where you are.

Covent Garden is quite fun with plenty of street entertainers, odd buildings and stuff.

Yup, watch the market traders though. They're a grumpy bunch of so-and-so's where photographers are concerned. Even if you're pleasant and abiding the law some of them can be quite confrontational.

Some great photography to be had though for sure.
