A truly remarkable human being. Rest in Peace Sir Nicholas

What struck in the very few interviews he gave was that he was such an unassuming man, he did what he felt had to do at that time and in those circumstances and afterwards just carried on with life. We sadly lack those sort of folk these past many years.

As you say RIP.

That's quite the age.
For quite the man.
Peaceful rest well earned.

An unsung hero for a long time.

And How would you know this? Unless it was published.......;)

The world wars are full of "Selfless" actions performed by normal people who wanted no accolade for their deeds, in fact they in many cases thought it merely "Reasonable Service" as a human being.

I saw some video from 1998 when he met a lot of descendants of the children he saved.
I was seriously moved, he seemed so humble.

quite the man and deserved his 106 years of age.
I think he will have got a great spot in Heaven :)
