Brompton Cemetery

Hi all. I was passing by Brompton Cemetery in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea the other day and decided to have a stroll through and take some photos. It's a really big and impressive estate with some interesting architecture and mausoleums. Most graves are from the 19th century and a few in the early 20th century. Apparently 205,000 people are buried there including Emmeline Pankhurst, Chelsea pensioners, artists, actors and the founder of Chelsea football club. I've selected 10 photos which I'll do in two posts.

I was thinking the same..... Although I suspect they might end up lacking something that these have, as the stone colour with the blue sky compliment each other very well.

Mmmm, I see what you mean, perhaps some where like this venue will be the very last place I visit ! ! ! ! !! ! ! lol

I'm not sure they look as nice in black and white but I've converted three of them and added one extra photo.
