Bug Faces

Some from todays bug hunt, I seemed to have got mostly eyes and faces today, it wasn't intentional, just happend..

#1 Red Beetle

#2 Red Beetle

#3 A Fly

#4 - It's errrumm... some sort of flying device

#5 - Another Fly

#6 - A Mirid Bug

Another good set.

The first is a Red Soldier beetle - probably Rhagonycha fulva. The other flying thing is a Sawfly- nice find along with the bug.

Think some improvement to your light diffusing would help in the flies eyes (5) & take some harshness out of some of them.

Thanks Chris, I've only just started using the ring flash and I agree the light can be harsh at times, still using ETTL at the moment, so still getting to grip with it.
