Building a portfolio

I really need to start making an actual portfolio,
does anyone know any good places to buy one? I want it really simple and black. Bear in min I live in the UK and i'd sooner get it from an actual shop rather than online cause then I can look at it

I can't help a great deal, but I suppose shots that would make people want to employ you! What kind of photography are you interested in? If it's portraiture for example, they won't want to see any pictures of squirrels/birds/lovely views etc! Put the shots you think best reflect your ability, and style on here, and see what people think! Keep the number of shots relatively low, I'd say something like 10-15, you don't want to bore people, and make sure the quality is really high!

have a look in hobbycraft. thats where i might get mine from. also get a folder thatlays flat when open because alot of them spring back up and clients dont tend to get on with them.
