Yes u8myufo youre correct I was using a Canon EF 100 x 400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM Lens.
I have not long had it bought from Kerso. I am still getting use to the lens and have not probably used it to its full potential as yet. But they say practice makes perfect so I try to practice at every opportunity.
The lens is currently on my Canon 400D with a battery grip attached which helps it balance very well. Its just me that actually needs to improve.

The buzzard was some distance away and the picture has been cropped a great deal. I think in a few months time when I have mastered the lens I will be in the position to post some improved shots. ( hopefully )
I've yet to get a decent shot of a buzzard, missed an opportunity the other day, good light, by the time I grabbed the camera I couldn't believe how high he'd climbed in such a short time, reckon he'd give a Eurofighter a run for its money.
