All seen at Martin Mere on Sat, first 3 images where taken on Canon 100mm Macro, the last was taken on Sigma 150-600mm lens as I'd just swapped lenses.

4 very nice shots there,
No 2 being the pick for me.
1 & 2 are a little tightly cropped, a bit more space at the back and top wouldnt hurt imo.

We've had a good year for them- they never stay still enough for me to take photos normally.

Really nice clarity in these, love the 1st and 3rd ones.

Actually these 2 were the only ones that weren't cropped - though I probably could have tried to frame them more central, it was rather windy that day - I only managed 3 shots before it flew away. The other two were slight crops, but not by much - 4400 x 2933 from a 5184x3456 image.

Thanks Nick, Graham, Jan and Oj9400.

I was rather pleased with the first 2, despite them being common, they are very difficult to get good photos of as they never seem to stop moving. The Painted Lady Butterfly is probably tired out after flying all the way from North Africa - I actually mis-identified it as a Red Admiral...
