Spent a weekend in the Lake District a few weeks back and finally got around to editing this picture. The conditions were, lets say, unfavourable with high winds and very choppy water (I should have bought my surfboard, not my camera!).

I decided to go for a very moody edit for this composition to mirror the conditions. Would love to know what you think or whether you have any tips?

If you'd have had the means, ie a suitable ND filter and tripod, a long exposure might have worked well with this. B&W conversion too maybe.

This was taken on a tripod and I do have a 10 stop ND filter. The problem I had at the time is the wind was so bad, using an ND filter, while smoothing out the water, caused the tree to become a blur.

I haven’t done much editing in black and white so I’ll give that a go. Thanks for the feedback.
