Sorry if this is a stupid question or one that has already been answered.

Can Cactus or similar triggers be used for both Portable flash units like the Vivitar, and also for Studio flash heads?

Thanks.

I can see that the 16 channel receiver would work with studio flash, but I can’t see how it would work with portable flash, there does not appear to be a hot shoe.

The 4 channel receiver does have a hot shoe, but apparently no jack to connect to the studio flash jack point. Could you use the PC socket to connect to the Studio JacK?

Triggering voltage of both portable and stdio flash is less ththan 12 volts.

Assuming your speedlight doesn't have a pc connector then all you need is a hotshoe/miniphone unit -under a tenner for a decent one from the likes of Calumet
