I got a copy of camera control panel and set my camera on a tripod with 55-200mm lens near the bird food, and it worked quite well i think, C&C as always is welcome.
in certain areas they are but that was because it was set on centre spot focus and the cam was pointed to where i thought the birds would be, i was inside drinking a coffee and taking photos with a click of the mouse
