Beginner Camara recommendations

I am a newby and would like a simple used camara, without a long lens that I can carry about in a handbag. I want to be able to take photos when I'm out walking or wildlife and scenery. We like walking and often come across old buildings and would like to have a scree on rear. My limit is around £175

Hi Gill. A good start would be to search ebay for digital compact cameras. It will give you some idea of what you want, if nothing else.

Taking quality pictures of building, scenery and wildlife for £175 is a bit of a tough brief. The wildlife aspect could be difficult as that could mean a long focal length lens and these tend to be big and expensive.

I suppose one possibility could be a decent compact camera with a long zoom. Panasonic make some of these but I've no idea about models that could be suitable and in your price range.

Maybe someone can suggest a TZ??? of some sort? TZ95 maybe.... but it might need to be from ebay which can be a lottery.
