I think this may be the answer to a problem I have when videoing with my Panasonic HC-X900M with a Sennheiser MK400 microphone and a wind deflector as shown below
The problem is the wind deflector occassionally gets into shot because the microphone does not mount high enough off the camcorder.
So hunting around on ebay I found this for just over £1
So ordered it and for the price worth trying anyway
