Camera bag inserts drive me mad

Might just be me, but I hate trying to rearrange the velcro inserts in camera bags

Bloody things stick like crap to a blanket, but never where I want them

Just give up after a while, must be a way to postion them easily, but I have never found it

Try a bit of card between the hook side and the loop side, set the inserts where you want them (one by one) and just slide the card out while pressing the opposing sides together.

Annoys me too. Usually get the opposite end sticking to the bag when I don't want it to. I usually bend the Velcro end back until I've got it in the right position.

That's what I do as well, although Nod's suggestion sounds very good and I may give that a try next time (prob this weekend).


I had thought I was the only one that got bothered by this as it's very rarely mentioned.

I should add that in my backpack, I made sure that all the inserts are inserted so they "hang" like Us rather than ns (if that makes sense). This means that if a lens is in a section with an empty section underneath (when worn) the Velcro doesn't try to undo itself.

I hate inserts,they never seem to be in the right places even if i spent ages trying to get then their,i also keep losing them.

After all theses years of using cameras bags,i just have to face the fact that me an inserts are never going to get on
