hey guys i have a 7d and the popup flash wont pop up, i have done a bit of research and discoveredit is something to do with the hotshoe a little pop up button is more than likely stuck, i have watched various videos and cannot locate this button, i have tried to remove the hotshoe plate to no avail, therefore i am looking for a repair centre near me that someone can reccomend, preferably a nice good camera repair shop.

turn it upside down and gently tap the top of the prism with a finger whilst holding the pop up button. Mine used to stick from time to time, it'll free itself with a crack but then all will be gravy.
 
Isn't there a Calumet in Birmingham? I always take my camera to them in London.
 
Lehmann's are going to be your nearest canon authorised repair centre in Stoke on Trent, I've used them in the past and found them good, though useless to get hold of via the phone :shrug:

yep i agree lehmanns ,in stoke on trent ,if its simple and this probably is they sometimes do it while you wait .and in your case its probably cheaper to take it there anyway due to postal charges
