I made my own camo rain covers but if it is just the 'camo' bit you want have you thought about using tape? I tried this

I'm using the Wildlife Watching Supplies neoprene cover on my 300 2.8 VRII. Fit is good quality is nice. Would be nice to see the switches like the lens coat one but the lens coat one was a fair bit more expensive IIRC. Also the WWS one uses a thicker neoprene then LC which I like as the big lens seems to get knocked a bit carrying it about.

Bill I just bought one of these from WEX Photographic, There a special order Item so take around 3weeks to get to you as they import them from LensCoat in America, I got one for my 400mm f/2.8 and they work a treat! Bit on the expensive side but the best quality camo's out there IMHO, Heres a link mate to the camo for the exact lens you bought

Would highly recommend getting them, the 300mm camo say awaiting stock so thats about 2 weeks in delivery time.

Personally I find loading the Bean Bags with bird seed is always a good idea as when your walking around ( specially in the winter) and you see birds near by you want to photography you can open the bag and put a bit of seed out for them, worked a treat for me in the past and still can use the beanbag!

+2 from me. I've got 2 kits, and have just ordered kits for my tripod and monopod. They don't even list monopod covers -but are making me one anyway. Good service, good kit. They stitch the ends of the neoprene too- which I don't think lenscoat or wws do? Fit is dead on for my Canon 300 f4 and Tamron 150-600.

I have used 2 wildlife watching supplies ones and 2 lenscoat ones. I now use lenscoat as the WWS ones moved around just to much and it became annoying. The lenscoat are slightly thinner but grip better. An example was the Sigma 120-300 the WWS one would move and overlap the zoom or focus ring which is a pain. Lenscoat for me everytime now.

It was the stitching on the outdoor photography ones that made me change to them from lens coat but I see what mark means about the grip. I just found the lens coat ones curled back after a while on the lens hood which was annoying until I taped the end. The one slight criticism of the outdoor photography ones is that the section around the buttons for IS etc can become a little loose. I've popped a bit of double sided tape under it although I very rarely change any of the settings.

Thanks All - none of that look up to the "Nikon" standard and as you say they tell to curl a little - I have some black ones on my 300mm f2.8
But the ones quoted seem to be the only ones available ……. and they are not cheap for what you get ……..

You could always glue on a red plastic stripe if that's what you mean?
I'm not sure I'd consider £50 a lot to cover a £7k lens but I understand what you're saying. The cheaper option would be to get 1 waterproof camo cover for lens and body that you could use with either lens.
