comment on its vignetting at 16mm with a few filters stacked up preferably cokin P's and say a screw on polariser!

Tall order I know but someone must have one with filters!

thanks in advance

I had the CZ16-80 before i switched to FF and it would vignette at 16mm with Lee 100mm filter holder and a standard adaptor, so I would expect it to with Cokins (85mm), especially with multiple filters and a polariser.

Thanks Jonathan, Sorry to push the point but are we talking a lot or manageable levels to sort in pp?

I tended to handle it with a slight crop - it was only in the extreme corners, so I'd not lose a lot, and still benefit from the full 16mm on the sides I didn't crop.

I may have been possible to fix with instead - but it's not something I've tried.

Thank you. I am beginning to think it won't really suit my needs as a heavy filter user!

at 16mm end with hoya pro cpl (slim filter) and cokin p stack on top, i had quite abit of vignetting. manageble with cropping. At 22mm still there, but just in the corners.

Unfortunately you will find that any wide lens will have problems with vignetting when used with filters - the option is ot switch to 100mm filters (Lee, Cokin Z) with WA adaptors to bring them as close ot the lens as possible, and to get a range of filters so you have less need to stack

My Tamron 17-50 has no such problems though and is probably the superior choice in the circumstances. Cokin P are fine up to 82mm and I have no issues using them at 10mm focal length (77mm filter thread) with the ultra wide adapter, on a different lens of course!

Thank you for your time:thumbs:
