Can I boost my wireless signal?

We have recently switched to BT Infinity and are finally getting whooshy internet speeds!

However my main PC is upstairs and the BT hub is downstairs, and quite often I find the signal drops (I'm on 3 bars currently). Given that we can't move either, is there any way to boost my wireless signal? Or am I better getting one of those plug-in things that run through the electricity points and use a wired connection (I don't know the name but know my folks have one which works well)?

TIA :)

if your house is not a million years old then id go for the electricity points option , a good set of 100mb sockets can be setup and installed easily then and should not be to expensive , if you have a BT hub you can get a wireless range extender BUT ive found them a PITA to set up.. though perhaps thats just the ones ive bought ? if anyone has any suggestions of wireless extenders that work well let me know! but if you just have the one device - i favour the plug and play option :)

Ebuyer are doing a set of pass-thru (handy) 200Mbps for £39.99.

still be interested if anyone can find a good wirless repeater ! that works...
