This is either an incredibly stupid question ...or

If I purchase a used canon body from a dealer (with 3 mths warranty) Can I buy a canon warranty from anywhere?
 
Have to be an insurance based one...just Google it...
 
The one offered by Domestic and General is quiet good its the same one that Jessops sell at twice the price. It covers accidental damage and repairs and it's also transferable so would probably add a bit to the resale value of you kit if you decide to sell

i believe calumet sell all inclusive warranties, by equipment value. if i remember correctly, your equipment needs to be in warranty when you buy it, so you may find your 3 month one counts.

It may be better to call them, they were happy to insure my D700 and D300.
