Can you get a wired battery?

I remember seeing in my camera manual a certain battery that you can plug into a power supply and use the cam off that power supply. Now i dont know what it is called to google/ebay it. I also have a canon 300D.

Ideas?

Most of the Canon 1D series cameras came with an AC adapter that allow the use of the camera from the mains. Looks like a battery but has a hole in it for the AC adapter to fit.

Yeah but now you know what your looking for hit ebay. I am sure you will get that down to £15 £20 if your lucky.

Nothing on there. But only from the USA i dont like to buy from outside uk because of returns and what not.
