Yes
just a quicky

seen tiffen nd filter kit of 3, can these fit together as it doesnt say?

thanks

EDIT IGNORE! found it lol

My initial thoughts are yes. Most filters I've used will stack. So unless there's a reason these are any different I'd be pretty sure they stack.

Yes, but watch that you don't cause vignetting (higher risk of that with wideangle lenses).

how wide are we talking? it would mainly be on my 18-55 or 55-250

Cannot say precisely. It's just something to be wary of. Some filters have deeper monts than others. If you see dark corners appearing in your viewfinder you'll know you have stacked too many.
Is it ND's you are thinking of stacking in order to get the right strength?

Stacking filters is a bit like driving from London to Brighton in first gear. You could, but I wouldn't recommend it. ;)

A.

Yeah, I agree, but this is "flour bomb robbo" we're talking to here! Anything could happen and I await the glorious results

it's just putting more and more lower quality glass in front of your £1000 worth of precision glass camera body

nothing to stop you doing it but it's not the greatest of ideas for quality

You talking graduated filters Robbo, loads of people stack them/position them for different scenes to aid the over all balance of light.

If your going to use polarizer as well as filters, It been suggested, either stick it on the out-side (so you need a flipping massive one) or ensure the filters you buy won't upset its abilities if it sits on the lens side....I can't remember which type is which.

Its an ND filter set of 3 filter, 3, 6 and 9 (i think :-s) lol

should these be ok to stack?

If they produce any vignette from 50mm up over can that be removed in CS4 shooting raw as that has quite a few vignette setting etc.

thanks again

Yeah, you can do what you like all points above considered.

Removing a vignette caused by the edges of holders with software is obviously nothing to do with putting the lost information back. You can't fix or put back what’s not recorded. its simply a clever processing bodge to lessen the darkness by brightening or similar.

right well ive ordered them now so soon find out lol

thanks everyone

beware if they are cokin ND filters. If you stack them you get a very purple/magenta tinge
