Hiya all
Had a lovely day at Cannock Chase today.... Brocton Area.
Some lovely Deer, being as there are people regulary passing through, i actually managed to get quite close for some pretty nice photos.
I was hoping to see Rabbits too but no such look
Anyone else have good experiences of Cannock Chase?
 
Everytime I go there the animals run away and an infestation of ramblers always appears. :D
 
Aha no ramblers today, do come across them alot when out and about, usually when you're on the way to a perfect shot :-/ haha
 
Love the deer on the chase. Quite easy to find. And I can usually get close enough to take a few pics. Main problem is other people who scare them away. So you need to find a place where people are scarce. To find them look for recent deer activity; droppings and tracks. Fresh tracks and droppings are quite easy to tell apart from old ones. Stealth is required. If you see deer then watch them and wait until they are not looking in your direction. Move when they are looking elsewhere and be prepared to freeze. Make us of cover as much as possible.
