Canon 1 DX software, and does anyone in Fife or Edinburgh want to meet to compare 5D3

I have a test 1 Dx coming sometime on Tuesday this week and will have to return it on Thursday...any of you guys who've already tried it able to tell me if my existing DPP, and/or lightroom 3 and CS 5 will open the files I'll get?

I'd also like to meet up with a 5D mk 3 owner to have a bit of a compare, however I can only do this on Wednesday morning, perhaps near the Forth Road bridge?...and ideally with a 400mm f 5.6 lens!!

Timing is awful here George, had we known this at convention time I could have loaned you my 400mm. You can loan it if you want to stand the rmsd ( that could be a bit :gag: )

Thanks Brian, but I just got the call from Frankie at CPS yesterday at 4.30 pm that he was sending it up to me!!...thanks for the offer anyway!!

Let's see if anyone is near me..just a chance but it's a lens I have been considering for some time.

It's a fantastic lens, very fast to focus and very very sharp!

Sadly I hardly use mine, since I bought it new I'd be surprised ive taken a thousand shots with it. It's a lens I consider selling every few months but it's speed, sharpness and lightweight always seem to sway me.

If nothing turns up by Monday let me know, special delivery should get it to you by weds if you want to stand the postage. :)

Brian, this is off the thread topic and I don't want to get into more trouble with the mods, Marcel isnt talking to me since I criticised Bury black pudding and Yv obviously doesn't like me as she sat as far away as she could at the convention Indian. So there!!:shrug:
 
No Edinburgh/Fife based members with a 5D3 want a look at a 1 DX?
