OK I want a mk 4 and have the pennies ready to buy, simply electronics have the best price £3200 od squids, £400 cheaper than anywhere else. phoned them up today to buy and yes they have them in stock and yes the price is correct, delivery in 2 to 8 days. ok I will take one says I. took all my details but not able to take credit card over the phone so they will send me an e mail detailing payment, have received nothing despite calling them 3 times...... seems very strange to me and cant get any sense out of the strongly Indian accented staff that I talk to.:bang::bang::bang:


so do I persist and trust them or pay a bit more and get it from Jessops at £3600ish

anybody used simply electronics before and had any experience, they seem to advertise everywhere

Get it from Jessops, I wouldn't deal with simplytakeyourmoneyandmessyouabout.

Do a google on them and think yourself lucky they didnt take your money.
 
I bought a lens from them about 4 years ago. It was showing on their site as in stock. I was going on holidays 3 weeks after I ordered it, so I contacted them to confirm it was in stock. 3 weeks later I left for my holiday, without the lens.

It eventually arrived the week after I returned from holidays. I reckon they wait until they receive an order before they order the item, themselves! :suspect:

The lens itself was perfect, and they were the cheapest, but I won't be dealing with them again....
 
hdew cameras have them for £3500 they are imports but do come with a full warrenty.
http://stores.hdewcameras.com/-strse-507/Canon-EOS-1D-Mark/Detail.bok and you can even pay £99 for an extra 3 year warrenty, i have used them as have many on here, service is top and quick you can phone them or do it online and you can even pick up if close enough.
just if you are interested and if the camera developed a fault it will be fixed only by an authorised canon specialist, and you can get it repaired where you wont.
