Canon 1DMKIV Spotting

They're out in the US to, just not Europe. If i wasnt going to be using it for (Future) Work i'd get one out here
 
Latest I've heard is that they are coming into big dealers this Thursday 14th though take that with the usual large pinch of salt.

I haven't seen one in the "wild" yet apart from with a Getty chap at Twickenham a while back.

Ooooh, I heard thursday 14th too!! I saw Eddie Keogh (Reuters) with one at Millennium at the Aus game in November, he wasn't massively impressed with the AF. I've heard there was an iffy one doing the rounds in the UK.

My supplier has 29th but I think thats a catch all dat as they didnt know anything other than january..

I am guessing canon want to supply everyone on the same date so no outlet has an advantage... so a mass delivery

I was just impressed that my local Jessops is getting 32 bodies, and only 20 have been reserved yet!

Figured they'd only have the reserved ones coming in...or that they'd have more reservations!
 
Yes james my supplier said there only allowed pre ordered units.. hmm

I think with the Mk111 issues and the price, that may well slow sales down

and right after Christmas too, not too many people have £4000 lying around just now.

Guy on POTN already has one and is posting his shots at ISO 12,800, he's from Indiana though.

Maybe in the amateur world but in the pro world 4k isn't a great deal of money for a work tool, ask any mechanic how much Snap On gear he has

exactly... my 3.7k as it is will come out of the business.. Also when your upgrading a camera you have one to sell.. so 1.3k to sell one of my mkIIIs leaves 2.4k not 4k to find :)
 
£4k wouldn't get you one of the limited edition snap on tool boxes, let alone the tools to fit them!!
 
and of course all the pros buy from jessops :)
