Yes
I did some shots over the weekend of my daughter in the garden and don't think the sharpness/focus on this lens is quite spot on. There are lots on my flickr but one example is below. I micro adjusted the lens to +5 as this is what the reikan focal calibration software suggested. Am I being over critical or is there user error here?

There is movement in her right hand so that would suggest your shutter speed was too low?

well 1/250sec depends how fast her hands are moving, it seems sharp enough, I am happy with my 24-70 mkii it is very sharp wide open

Obviously not as there's movement there. You can't expect the lens to be pin sharp if the subject is moving or are you saying the 'motion blur' is caused by the lens?

I see what you mean. I need to think more about shutter speed.

This one is done at 1/500:

Does it look sharper? Do you think the focus is in the right place?

Well, I am assuming you are trying to focus on her eyes, and she her seems sharp enough., so clearly your daughter is in focus.

Yes I think you are right. Shutter speed was obviously the problem. It was such a sunny day that I think I thought shutter speed wouldn't be a problem so wasn't concentrating on it but this was a more shady part of the garden.

Thanks for your help, lesson learnt!
