Hi all,
been using my gripped 400D for a couple of years now, and the battery life has been great, however.
2 days ago i fully charged the 2 batteries, popped them into the grip and subsequently into my bag.
Low and behold, today, as soon as i switched the thing on, it came up "replace battery!" :(

i'm completing another charge cycle so maybe it was just something weird :(

i cannot be sure if the camera was left "on" as i was in a bit of a rush today to take some pics, but i wouldn't have thought that would make a difference, with the "auto-off" function.

im a little confused.... anyone else had smilar happen??

TIA

Where did you leave the camera? Was it in a cold place because that could of drained alot of the battery power. Maybe the batteries are just wearing out. You could always get some cheap jobbies from 7dayshop if the batteries are genuinely waring out. I've had my camera the same amount of time as you and I've not developed any problems with mine yet but who knows.

I doubt leaving your camera on would drain your batteries flat though. I've left mine on for a couple of weeks without using it and it was fine. I very rarely need to charge my batteries actually.

Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks Tom, just finished charging them both up and all looks good so far.

the acid test will be tomorrow i guess, so fingers crossed, but i might get a couple of spares from 7DS anyway just to make sure. thx for the post.
