Canon 400d not rotating pics on windows computer

Does anyone else have this problem? Even though i have the camera set to rotate on cam and on PC whenever i open the file (in windows xp) the photos are not rotated. Very annoying, especially when unloading 4gb of photos in one go, my PC isnt the fastest

I'd use Canon's DPP - they should auto-rotate in there (unless you've switched off auto-rotate - I think there's an option to switch it off somewhere).

What do you use to process raw files now or are you shooting jpeg?

For raw files is use UFraw, part of the Gimp package.
