Canon 400d question!

Hi there,

I have just bought a canon 400d. While looking through the manual i have realised that the camera i have does have the same menu screen shown in te manual and also looking at other 400d menus mine is different? I have a menu like a 300d which only has 4 options where as a 400d has 5 and also cant seem to select the camera to take raw files.

For example a 400d menu looks like this(has 5 options within):

Can anyone shed any light on this?!!

It may be something to do with the firmware version it's running being different to the one in the shot.
 
Is it happening in all photo modes? As i think certain menus are only accesible in certain modes maybe. When i get a chance i`ll get my 400d out and have a look.

Yeh its happening in all menus. Thanks for the reply!

I cant understand why i have different menus, i seem to have alot more basic menu. But my camera has 400d on it so im a 100% its a 400d.

Are the menus all the same on all 400d's??
 
I just checked mine and in portrait, scenery and so on - you do get a reduced menu
in Av, Tv, etc you get the full monty
go check again!!!!

and in Spanner2 - what software release do you have?
