Canon 500D to 60D

Can anyone advise me if this would be a worthy upgrade as I am thinking of selling my 500D. Or do you think I should hang on a while and maybe get whatever the next Canon upgrade to the line may be

You can always be waiting for the next big thing. Have a look at what the 60D gives you over the 500D. This chart may help:

In summary, higher mpix, better autofocus, better ISO, better video, bigger body. Whether those things are worth it or not is up to you...
 
What do you think the 500D isn't doing for your photography right now? How is it holding you back?

Once you can answer that question we can help you determine if the 60D would do that and if it would be a worthy upgrade for you.
