I know a few people on here use the Canon 500mm F4. I've got one hired for a couple of weekends in July to shoot a couple of airshows.
Can any owners provide me with any helpful tips that will help me get the best out of the lens?
I'll be using it partly with a monopod and partly handheld. I used to use a 300 F2.8 handheld so although I know its about a kilo or so heavier I dont expect too many problems on that side of things.
One of the shows is Legends at Duxford so with the props I'll be stuck at a max of 1/320 sec to help prop blur.
Any tips would be useful though
