:help:Not sure whether I should be posting in this section or the post processing section, but I seem to have a problem with my raw images using the 50D.

The bright parts of the images are showing up red, the worst examples have a totally red sky, no amount of processing the image removes the red without degrading it further.

The jpeg images are ok.

I hope you can make sense of the above as am still not totally fluent with Cs3.

I have tried resetting the camera but it is just the same.

Have I a problem or is it something I am doing wrong?

I can not post an example at the moment because I have a fault on my line reducing my line speed to between 5 and 15 Kbs, I may not be able to reply immediately because of this.

Also I have noticed the ingress of dust behind the screen in the bottom r/h corner, has anyone else had this problem? is it a return to Canon fault under the warranty?.

Thanks in advance,

Mal

colour issue sounds like it might be:

does it do it in jpeg

does it happen if you convert your RAW files differently ie using dpp instead of acr instead of something else ect

have you got any crazy settings/presets switched on in ACR which could be causing confusion?

Have you checked the show clipped highlights box?

:clap::clap: sorted, but I had to google "clipped highlights box" to find it, I must have accidentally clicked on it:bonk:

A big thanks to ruvor :thankyou:

Now about that dust behind the screen, it can only be noticed in the daylight but I am concerned it will get worse.

I didn't twig in camera:bang:

the lcd? is the plastic protector still on it that often gets dust caught under but just peels off

No plastic protector on, it is definitely behind the screen:(.
