Canon 50D

If you have a search loads of us use the 50D, and id say about 99% of us love it (me included). Why the big swap from Nikon though? Why not get the D300 and use your current lenses if your after upgrading?

The 50D is a great camera but it really needs top lenses on it to get the best from it.
 
What is your motivation here? There are some specialised applications for which Canon is a better choice, because it gives you access to lenses which Nikon doesn't make. But not many. And even then, it wouldn't be obvious whether your best camera would be a 40D/50D or a 5D, unless you tell us what you want to photograph.
 
Not knowing your cicumstances I would look into this very carefully. As has already been mentioned on here and many other sites you will require top class lens for the 50d. Which as you probably already know is what actually delivers the picture.
What does your camera not do for you at the moment ?

From your other thread I think the move to Canon would only be worthwhile if you are planning on getting the MP-E 65 macro lens - as Nikon don't offer anything like that.

Otherwise, what is you D60 not doing now that you feel the 50D would?
