Canon 50mm 1.4 owners pls look in

Is it normal for the focus barrel to wobble? As I never noticed it on my first one I had that i sold but missed it so bough another. This appears to wobble slightly

It might not be what you're talking about, but the reason I didn't get one of those and went with the Sigma 50mm 1.4 is that there's a little cog in there for the focus ring that fails on them. It's possibly the case that this what you're seeing.
