Anybody else interested in one? Or care that it's out?

I was going to preorder it from wex but it's £129 and only $125 so I think I'll wait...

Snap. I use my sigma 35mm f1.4 art all the time now so can't see me replacing my 50mm with the stm version.

I think it is the same optics from what I read on canon rumours, just a bit smaller and faster AF, if it goes below £100 I think it is worth it

For its price point I've never had a problem with the optics of the mk2 50mm but the near silent Stm will be great for those wanting an upgrade

Metal mount, faster, quieter focussing, likely less vignetting and superior IQ, $125 RRP (~£100 inc VAT once dust settles).

This will be popular.

7 rounded aperture blades = a lot better bokeh. Sharpness will be also slightly improved if we believe their new coatings evangelism. Old one was OK from f/2.2 (when in focus!) so this will only get better. I use 50mm so little I have hard time justifying sigma art; this may well fit the bill should I decided to purchase one again.

I'd be very tempted if I didn't already have a prime 50mm. I'd also be tempted if I wanted to downgrade.
