No worries. I only know because the fifty is next on my list of purchases and I have been looking at them for some time.
You will no doubt get guidance from those on here who have already got one - but mine will mainly be for portraits. That extra ablity to alter the depth of field is I believe the primary reason most people go for this lens. And of course, shooting in low light without flash.
That's been a great help, I won't have to make a rush decision on it before the end of the auction, now that I can get it for the same price elsewhere.
