Canon 50mm vs Canon 60mm

I have a Canon 50mm but was toying with getting a 60mm 2.8 Macro as I like the idea of doing some macro shots. Would the 60mm be a worthy replacement to the 50mm as it would be used for portraits and macro (I would sell my 50mm).

If you shoot regularly between F1.8 and F2.8 then the 60mm would not be a worthy replacement... otherwise it is pretty good in all respects.

Only reason i shoot lower than 2.8 is for low light

And how often do you shoot at F1.8 - 2.8 ? (presuming you have the 50mm F1.8)

Can you afford to buy a Macro lens without selling the 50mm ? If so, then why not look at other Macro lenses ...

With the 60mm being a macro, you wouldn't get a constant f2.8 throughout. I would imagine between 2m and infinity it is f2.8 but not closer than that.

I don't know this but would consider the likelihood and look into it...
