Canon 5D poss issue

That doesn't look like a shutter issue to me. It looks like either the internal processor has muddled up the rendering/structure of the image or the memory card/image file has become corrupt.
 
That's either a glitch in the card (one of the memory cells has gone bad) or a glitch writing/transferring the data to the machine. If you still have the original on the card, can you try looking at it again?

hi thanks i have removed them off the card so cant say for certain will keep an eye on it though with this card and see if it does it again
 
I saw this before on a friend,s & it was a card error:thumbs:
 
you're not seriously suggesting the 5D could fail are you :nono:

card error i'd say definitely.
 
Maybe the card was made by nikon.:lol::p:D

If it was curtain it would be half black horizontal picture cut in half, can happen of the shutter speed is too high,

yes i realised it was not the curtain was just trying to work out what caused it but by sounds f what peeps have said i has to be memory card so will format and try again and hope it was a one off got plenty of other cards so will be using it one for my ebaying at work atleast i wont be too bothered if it goes
 
Sounds like a memory card issue to me aswell. I'd either throw it or use it for non important things.
