Canon 5dc service

I was toying with the idea of selling my 5d classic but have decided to keep it, get it cleaned and serviced.

Has anyone on the forum had this done?

Is it pretty straightforward to do?

I sent a 5D2 to Canon Elstree a couple of months ago for a general clean and service following a very dusty trip to Africa. It cost me around £80.00 including postage.

£80 seems very reasonable thanks.

I just gave them a call in office hours and they explained what to do. I used UPS to get it to them which was straight forward, that was extra to the £80 but hard to quantify as the parcel contained two bodies and three lenses so much heavier and larger than what you will be sending.

I had mine done at Fixation.

Fixation will do a sensor/viewfinder clean, general service and mirror fix for £55 Canon want £80, though fixation say they won't reveal shutter count, which doesn't really matter.
